๐ Cited docs search for coding agents. Ask your agent to use wiki0 and it finds the current section, cites path:line, or opens a local docs browser. CLI + MCP; never calls an LLM.
README
Search a project's docs and get the right section with a
path:start-end citation, so agents don't read whole documents.
wiki0 indexes the Markdown already in a repo (plus PDF, DOCX and TXT if you include them) into SQLite full-text search. Results are ranked so current, authoritative docs come first, and superseded docs point to their replacement. It never calls an LLM and never rewrites your files.
Ask your coding agent. It runs wiki0 for you:
pnpx @wiki0/cli to find where we decided how deploys work."pnpx @wiki0/cli and show me the docs." The agent runs
wiki0 ui, and a local docs browser opens with rendered docs,
working links, search and index health.pnpx @wiki0/cli lint and fix the broken links in our docs."The agent indexes the repo, searches, and reads only the cited section
(path:start-end) instead of whole files. Superseded docs rank low
and point to their replacement.
For MCP clients, add @wiki0/mcp (binary wiki0-mcp) and the agent
gets the same operations as tools.
npx @wiki0/cli index # index the project docs
npx @wiki0/cli search "how do deploys work" # one cited section per doc
npx @wiki0/cli show docs/deploys.md:12-40 # read a cited section
npx @wiki0/cli lint # broken links and anchors
npx @wiki0/cli ui # open the local docs browser
